Erica is a phenomenal supervisor. She is insightful, supportive, and incredibly warm. Her style of supervision creates an extremely powerful and collaborative learning environment. She provides guidance in a way that allows you to reach the conclusion on your own, and challenges you to step outside your comfort zone so that you can be your best professional self. My skills have developed and strengthened more in the last two years under Erica’s supervision, than at any other point in my career. I love working with her!

Erica has provided incredibly thoughtful and invaluable supervision to me for the past few years. As the only social worker in a high school with 450 students I would not be able to exist and do my job without Erica. She is always available for consultations and gives clear advice, rationale and emotional support. She provides us with relevant professional development and always presents in an innovative and interesting manner. I truly can’t imagine my role without Erica and I look forward to each and every supervision.

I feel very fortunate to have had Erica Warshawer as my clinical supervisor. During my time working with her, she has pushed me to develop my clinical skill set and deepen my insight into childhood psychopathology as well as how to best support children within a school setting.  She has a great way of providing supportive supervision during crises, and every-day practice. She has utilized a combination of tried-and-true supervisory techniques (process recordings, case presentations, etc.) and newer, innovative concepts (Person of the Therapist) to further my ability to self-reflect which has led to significant growth within my clinical practice.

Erica has been an instrumental part of my professional growth as a social worker over the past 3 years. She has pushed me to reflect on my practice both inside of my job and outside in the wider world of social justice. I can honestly say that I would not be where I am without Erica’s guidance, feedback and unwavering support.

Erica has helped me, as my supervisor, to identify my strengths and weaknesses and come up with concrete ways to address my areas of growth in impactful ways. She always helps me shape my views within a “kids first” mindset and challenges me to push my thinking about the ways in which children, family, poverty and diversity interact.
